The Fauxbergé Eggs

An ongoing series of ostrich size Styrofoam eggs that have been embellished with sequins, beads, and handmade polymer clay art. These are my homage to the famous Fabergé eggs.

The history of the original Fabergé Eggs.

The original Fabergé eggs were created for the Russian Tsars Alexander III and Nicholas II by famed jewelry firm the House of Fabergé (still making jewelry to this day!!). Each egg was unique, intricate, and opulent. On the left is the Lilies of the Valley egg which was created in 1898. On the right is an egg I created that was inspired by the Lilies of the Valley egg.
