It started with real pasta jewelry back in 2007. I wanted to take the idea of pasta jewelry that you made in kindergarten but make it … elegant? sophisticated? I painstakingly hand-painted real rigatoni and put it online. The comments were cruel (why would I pay money for pasta jewelry…etc). I was discouraged. So much so that for a while I stopped making jewelry altogether. But many years later I took a look at my old pasta jewelry and I thought you know what, haters are always going to hate. I still think this pasta jewelry is fun and yes..maybe even sophisticated. So I started to experiment with printing 3D pasta. And now I am happy to say:
